Caves Costières overlook the Bassin de Thau, a natural lagoon famous for oysters. The limestone plateau of Costières above the North Western shore is a rare white wine enclave amidst the red dominated wine landscape of Languedoc.
Ever since its founding in 1932, the winery has consistently invested in technology, making it one of the leading sources of white wine and rosé in Languedoc. They are best known for their Picpoul de Pinet.
This indigenous grape variety has its own dedicated appellation in France, so distinctive are the wines are produced in this region from the once rare Piquepoul.
Tasting Notes: Tangy, juicy palate with a hint of mandarin; finishes crisp and dry with a hint of sea spray.
Aroma: A lovely vibrant white wine alive with fresh citrus and lemongrass notes.
Food Pairing: As aperitif, with all types of white meat, seafood, grilled fish, soft cheeses like Mozzarella or Burrata, Sushi and Sashimi
